My favorite part of book 7

I just finished rereading book 7. Still love it! Still get frustrated by all the camping parts, but I think you are suppose to so you feel as frustrated as the trio. And my favorite part is still the very end. I love those little family moments. I think Harry and Ginny would be great parents. It will be great to see Harry as a dad and his dream of a family complete. I wish Warner Brothers would do a Hogwarts animated tv series. I think that could be a lot of fun if done right.

I am not a picky person. I just like to be surprised and to get things that make me smile. I hope this helps my spoiler.

* Knit or crochet or both?
I have been crocheting for two years now and I just finished my first knitting project. I can knit and purl and that is it for now. I would like to learn how to knit in the round on circular needles as my next goal for knitting. I love crocheting just about anything.

* Brands you would like to try but don't have easy access to
I am not too picky on brands because I don't really know too many. Knitpicks.com has been my best friend lately. Everyone keeps talking about Malabrigo, so that could be fun to try.

* Favorite fibers/least favorite fibers
I love soft fibers. I don't have any particular favorites, but I love trying new blends.

* Favorite colors/least favorite colors
My most favorite colors are all shades of purple and blue, but I love all colors.

* Yarn weight preferences
I don't have any preferences to weight but I do ask that you send a pattern with it. I am horrible at making choices for patterns for the yarn I have lying around.

* Favorite projects
I enjoy making scarves and bags, but I like trying new patterns for different things. I love making earrings and other jewelry. I am always open to trying new crafts. I think I am finally going to break down and buy a sewing machine, because I have been thinking about sewing alot!

* Favorite designers
Ann Kingstone, but I have a long way to go before I can do her designs. I love being introduced to new designers. Surprise me!

I love it all except licorice flavors and I am not that big into candy. I love chocolate, trail mix, and well more chocolate. My favorite things that I cannot get here are starcrunches.

I love fruit teas and hot chocolate (not the mix with water kind). Italy spoiled me with rich creamy hot chocolate.

I don’t have any, but my hubby and my son are allergic to cats.

I feel super spoiled right now! I cannot believe her owl got here so quickly. Emma must have put a speeding charm on it. I love love love my kit!
First things I opened were my lucky stitch markers, earrings, and so cool domino bracelet. Then I opened my new large stash of Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in a wonderful array of colors which goes with my new book Amigurumi World Seriously Cute Crochet (which I have been wanting!!). I also got a really comfy looking size G crochet hook to help me make those cute animals. Emma also sent me word search, Sudoku, hangman, and tic tac toe books. She surprised me with not one but three boxes of starcrunches which I cannot get here. My little house elf loved "Lighning Queen box" matching game which we are playing tonight. And last but certainly not least is my handmade felted backgammon set!!! I love it so much. The dragonflies and butterflies are so cute. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this for me. It is so lovely! You have made my month!! You are the best Emma Diggory!

I just got the most delightful Luna kit from Winifred Hornswaggle. She sent me some African Rooibus Red Tea, yummy looking trail mix, Double ended crochet hook set, a yarn cutter ( something that I have been wanting forever), circular needles, knitpick's Gloss yarn in mulberry (I cannot wait to use this delicious yarn!), the pattern for the Luna scarf ( I have been wanting to make it for a long time), a cute mini sock, a Quibbler notebook, Hogwarts colors stitch markers, knitted radish earrings ( I love, love, love them!), and my favorite part was the " Dumbledore is My Homeboy" key chain. I love this kit. Thank you Winifred! I feel so spoiled and I know I am going to be smiling for a long time because of you. Especially every time I look at the key chain.:) Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I finally got Generva's kit mailed off today. I hope it makes good time to her and I hope she enjoys it. We my hubby is gone for the next while and I just trying to figure out what to do with myself. I am new here and haven't really made friends yet. I am watching kids from 12 -5:30 so at least my little house elf has kids to play with. And I still haven't found my knitting knitting needles. I want to get knitting and I have no needles. How ironic.

-Muggles use electricity so they can dry their hair without use of the drying spell, watch silly muggle operas on the television, or have machines wash the dishes for them.

2. What are the most common ways Muggles communicate when they are not together in the same place?
-Muggles scream into feletones or send eekmails on the computer.

3. How do Muggles cope with broken items?
-Duct tape is the muggles universal fix it or there is always elmers glue for little muggles.

4. Describe a popular Muggle sport.
- Curling is a popular muggle winter sport. Players slide and sweep stones on ice towards a target to get the highest score. Their "brooms" are wierd. Silly muggles.

5. Name something you'd like to try doing without magic, and how you would accomplish it.
-Knitting! I would disguise myself as a muggle and go to a knitting group at a LYS so they could teach me.

Part 2: Identify these common Muggle items.

-I think it is a remote. Muggles cann't live without them. Remotes are like wands for muggles.

Harry Potter And The Curse of Dudley

Harry Potter, the boy wonder, the (HERO) of the wizarding world; sat alone in his tiny bedroom scratching his (BELLY BUTTON) and cleaning the (PIXIE DUST) out of Hedwig's cage. This summer wasn't nearly as boring as his previous summers had been.

Over the summer, his cousin Dudley had grown quite frightened of him. Harry secretly kept cursing him, even though under age use of magic was strictly forbidden outside of Hog(WARTS [HAHAHAHA, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WORKED OUT LIKE THAT!])'s school of (BLANKET)craft and (JUSTICE).

It seemed the wizarding world turned a blind (TOE NAIL) when it came to Harry, and he never got in trouble for his... transgressions.

One particularly memorable curse on Dudley happened on the (8)th of June. It was so hot, you could (DEFENESTRATE) a (HAND CREAM) on the sidewalk.

Dudley sat on his enormous (NOSE) in front of the telly, spooning (COOKIE JAR)ful after (COOKIE JAR)ful of (SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS) down his throat. Harry thought he looked rather (HIPPO)ish, with his piggy little eyes and fat body.

Harry got an evil little grin on his (HIP) and raised his wand behind Dudley's head. "(EX ANIMO)" he shouted; which translated to English means "Turn this boy's head into a (PLUM) and make him dance around like a (TIGER) with (APHASIA)!"

And that's just what Dudley did! He (KISSED) off the couch, screamed "(FANTAZZICAL)!" to the top of his lungs, and began (SPELUNKING) on the floor, while turning in circles and flapping his (FEET).

Harry was laughing so hard, he almost peed his (NECK TIE). He was still laughing, and Dudley was still flapping, when Uncle Vernon came thundering down the stairs. He had gone a nice shade of purple. He looked at Harry, shaking in anger, then looked at Dudley, horrified. "(LITTLE AND OFTEN MAKES MUCH)" he screamed, then calmly turned and walked away.

Harry and Dudley looked at each other in abject confusion. Harry shrugged his shoulders in a "beats me" gesture, and the two cousins sat on the sofa, temporarily forgetting their animosity toward one another.

Dudley lifted the half empty (COOKIE JAR) of (SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS) and offered it to Harry.

"Don't mind if I do!" said the bespectacled young man, grabbing a spoon and preparing to dine.

Dudley's (FEET) gave one mighty final flap, and the boys had a most enjoyable evening, indeed.

A few of my favorite things

Favorite Colors: Purples, blues, and greens. I love all colors but those are the colors I usually choose for myself.

Favorite yarns: I love merino wools, bamboo blends, modal blends (like shine on knit picks), any knit picks yarn really, or I would like to try to dye my own yarn.

Favorite hooks or needles: I love the harmony needles ( really any large knitting needle would be great since I am still learning) or I would like to try a bamboo crochet hook.

Favorite snacks: I love chocolate! I miss star crunches because I cannot get them here. I also like trail mixes. I only drink herbal teas. I am not allergic to anything, so I am always willing to try new things.

Favorite odds and ends: I love getting new beads to make jewelry. I love notebooks and stationary. Yummy lip balms are always great to have. Page protectors for binders. They always run out of them at the bx. I also really like random fun things that make you smile.

Homework- Week 1

Picking only 3 favorite characters was a little hard for me. I hope we do this kind of swap again so I can choose 3 more. My favorite characters for this term are Sereveus Snape, Nymphadora Tonks and Luna Lovegood.

Snape... Excuse me, I mean Professor Snape is such a complex character (and Alan Rickman portrays him beautifully). I love that he is a double agent, but he really does things for his own reasons. When he loves he loves deeply and same thing when he hates. I would love to be as talented with potions as he is. I love a man who is talented with a cauldron.

Tonks is feisty. She knows who she is and she is not afraid to go after what she wants. I love that she has her own style, a good sense of humor, and she can kick butt. If I were an Auror, I would would want to be like her.

Luna, Luna, Luna...She is brilliant and crazy. I also love her because she knows who she is and is comfortable with her not fitting in the same box as everyone else. She is an optimist, a ray of sunshine, creative, and one awesome Quidditch announcer.

I feel so spoiled. I got 2 crochet magazines, a pattern for a hat and muffler, herbal teas, chocolate, size I hook, needles, a notebook, and some lovely purple Falk Dalegarn 100% wool machine washable yarn. Arriana also made me a lovely felted bag. I love it all!!! Thank you!

This was an interesting clue, because it really could mean alot of places. Bethlehem is where Christ was born, so that could be one guess. But the Christmas date and traditions didn't start until later.
One guess could be Bari, Italy because that is where the tradition of St Nick began. Or it could be in Germany where many of the other traditions began. So those are my thoughts.

First, she visited Ciudad de Mecixo ( Mexico City, Mexico.)
Second, I think she visited Yucatan, Mexico and Chichen-Itza where hopefully she didn't get decapitated by playing a game of Quidditch with some Mayans.
The last place I think she visited was Olinda, Brazil for their carnival, Friday night serenades, and their historical town center.

On a recent tour of Europe, I have made a few magical friends. Hermione, Lizzie and Emma were kind enough to give me a tour of the Ministry of Magic and Hogsmeade over the summer. It is always quite delightful to meet such beautifully talented people. Hermione has been tutoring me over the past year trying to improve wand and spell casting techniques. ( As I have been traveling around with my gypsy family and did not have to opportunity of studying at Hogwarts.) I am a little scattered brained and she is very patient. Hermione has become a dear friend. We have fun flying together whenever we can sneak away from our boys. I look forward to flying with whole team of new friends.
